Kyle Hollins is the Founder and Executive Director of Lyrik’s Institution, a nonprofit founded in 2019 that empowers young adults through culturally competent behavior modification and cognitive-based programs that spotlight their passions in the creative arts. He works directly with at-risk young adults in the Kansas City community. He has an affinity for identifying and guiding young adults to their passion/career that oftentimes are connected to some form of the creative arts. This methodology empowers real-world learning through internships that create a pathway to the workforce. Kyle is committed to addressing the root causes of challenges faced by young adults that lead to destructive paths, such as drug use, violence, gang involvement, incarceration, and death. ​

Today, the Pinnacle Prize announced its 2023 winners, Joshua Henges and Kyle Hollins.

Established in 2021, local philanthropists Ann and Kenneth Baum created the Pinnacle Prize as a way to invest in young leaders under the age of 40 that are passionate about tackling critical social issues within the Kansas City area. Each year, two individuals are awarded $100,000, no strings attached, to further make an impact in the community.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man has started a nonprofit with a focus on performing arts to help teens avoid the mistakes he made in his life.

Kyle Hollins' nonprofit is called "The Lyrik's Institution." According to Hollins, the program will be based on cognitive behavioral therapy.

It's something the Kansas City native said he was introduced to during his time in prison.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An event called "Teen Summit" plans to examine the thinking and behavior of young people so they can stay out of trouble.

The event is organized by nonprofit Lyrik's Institution.

Founder Kyle Hollins said the idea for the event came following numerous events in 2020 such as the unrest following the police custody death of George Floyd, the COVID-19 pandemic and the high homicide rate in the Kansas City metro.
